If you've ever felt a tad offbeat or out of the ordinary, you've found your haven.
In 1998, a soon-to-be-mom named Lindy walked in, only to become its heart and soul.
Under the watchful eyes of her Lafayette “mommas,” Susan & Jonie, she took the helm in 2007.
While whispers say we might be the state's largest paint-your-own-pottery studio, we’re too busy being authentically us to tally.
Lindy, our self-proclaimed "socially awkward people person," believes in the magic of every brushstroke.
Our pots of color draw folks from miles, each piece hand-glazed and fired in-house, a testament to Lindy's loving chaos.
Lafayette's heart beats for local wonders like us. Here, painting is more than art; it's a bond, a laugh, a memory.
With Lindy's spirit guiding us, Clayfish isn't just a studio; it's where stories, dreams, and paints merge.

Yes! Most of our painters don’t make a reservation. Come alone or bring your friends!

Oh YES! Once your pottery is glazed and fired, it’s safe to eat and drink out of.
Pro-Tip: Hand-washing will extend the life of your piece, and we do not recommend putting it in the microwave.

If you have a “work in progress” (SAME), you can return and paint the piece you finished.
However, we don't fire pieces purchased outside of our studio.

If you purchase pottery and leave the studio with it, we can not refund or offer a return.
If you have painted a piece and it has a defect, we'll be happy to fix it or replace it. Contact us and we'll work it out!

We will wrap your pottery up for you and you can come back to finish it – no charge!

We do not ship – BUT we will deliver your pottery to our friends at Post-Net located in our shopping center.
Once delivered to them, they will call you for payment and shipping information.

Food residue on fingers can cause a sleeeeew of issues with pottery when it goes into the kiln!
Because of this we only allow food in the party room, not in the main studio.

You are welcome to bring anything you'd like to drink. Just keep it in a cup… ;)

We do hand painted words for $2/word and custom painting for $40/hour.

All ages! We can even help you get baby handprints on a picture frame, coffee cup, etc.

We hold pottery for 30 days. If you need longer, just let us know!
